Professor Emerita Gwenna Moss (first appointment 1959; retirement, 2004). Professor Moss served in the Extension Division, the College of Education, as Dean of Home Economics, and as Associate Vice-President (Academic). She published widely on evaluation, needs assessment, women academics, distance education, and women in developing countries.
The Gwenna Moss Teaching and Learning Centre is named in honour of her role in creating the University's instructional development program. Awards she has received include the U. of S. Alumni Association Award of Achievement and the Saskatchewan Association for Lifelong Learning Roby Kidd Award.
Since retirement, she has received, the Distinguished Member Award, Canadian Society for the Study of Higher Education (2004) and the Saskatchewan Centennial Medal (2005). In 2007 she was named one of the 100 U. of S. Alumni of Influence. She is the editor of Stories From the Road, Memories of Home Economics Extension at the University of Saskatchewan, 1913-1980 (2010).
